BHADRA WLS

Having a wide range of flora & fauna, Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary, declared as Tiger Reserve in 1998, is surrounded by scenic hills and steep slopes. It is a biodiversity hotspot, boasting more than 120 plant species, various species of mammals & reptiles, and more than 300 species of birds including both endemic and migratory.

AGUMBE

Called ‘The Cherrapunji of the South’ after Cherrapunji in Northeast India, Agumbe is a small village which lies in a hilly, wet region of the Western Ghats in Karnataka. The king cobra, an endangered species, is the station's flagship species. Agumbe provides an environment for large and small mammals such as the endangered lion-tailed macaque, and is a popular destination for bird watchers and photographers.
