Located in the Indian state of Rajasthan, Sariska was declared a wildlife reserve in 1955. With an area of 274 sq.km, the landscape of Sariska comprises hills and narrow valleys in the Aravalli hill range and is rich in mineral resources such as copper. With a strong presence of tigers, the Sariska Tiger Reserve is also a native place for a large number of mammals, and is heaven for a variety of migratory birds and other endangered species of big and small animals.
