Its all about the shades of Green..!!

Eravikulam - Parambikulam - Anamalai

India is lucky to have been gifted with so many varied habitats and in turn a large amount of biodiversity. The forests of Eravikulum, Parambikulum and Annamala is situated in the Western Ghats in the southernmost tip of the country are no exception to this. The Western Ghats of India are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and these densely wooded slopes house a plethora of flora and fauna almost resembling the South American rain forests. Some of India’s most exotic species like the lion-tailed macaque, the nilgiri langur and the nilgiri thar have managed to keep these woods as their last refuge. However it is the diversity of reptiles, amphibians and arthropods found in these jungles that attracts a large number of researchers to this area. If you are a nature traveler in India wanting the most peaceful wilderness with just jungle folk for company, then these jungles of the Western Ghats are irreplaceable.
