A Treat From Mother Nature From East India

Gibbon - Kaziranga - Manas

The northeastern states of India, also known as the ‘Seven Sisters’, are a world of rich biodiversity. One of these states is Assam which is home to three of India’s protected areas rich in exotic flora and fauna. The huge grasslands of Kaziranga, home to the endemic Indian rhinoceros and the endangered Asiatic buffalo, will surely leave you mesmerised, and the dense woods of Manas can promise you much more than this, being home to one of the rarest cats on the planet, the Clouded Leopard. Add to this the Hoolongapar Gibbon Sanctuary, famous for two species of hoolock gibbons, a primate found nowhere else in India, and you have visited a world of eye catching birds, uncommon mammals and some of the most colourful reptiles. The relatively close proximity of each of these forests makes it an ideal week-long getaway.
