Yet another famous triplet of Madhya Pradesh in central India, the wildernesses of Satpura, Pench and Kanha each bring their own special variety of flora and fauna to the table. The lack of tigers in Satpura is a blessing in disguise, giving us instead a high amount of leopard sightings, generally very rare due to their secretive nature. Sloth bears are also found here in large numbers and the whole safari experience of a boat ride combined with a vehicle game drive is one not to be missed. Pench and Kanha are jungles of Central India that need little introduction. Both of them in one way or the other are responsible for Rudyard Kipling’s famous work, The Jungle Book. While Pench, with its is teak dominated vegetation and hyperactive fauna, never gives you a dull moment, sky-scraping sal vegetation of Kanha furnishes you with a magnificent experience of dense woods where in patches light struggles to make its way through to the ground. All in all a varied experience of not just the tiger but also the many other exciting things central India has to offer!
